Recipe of the Month

Iranian Kuku Sabzi

Our Recipe of the Month is for Kuku Sabzi, an Iranian egg and herb dish that can be eaten as a snack or main course. Often referred to as "frittata-like," the proportion of eggs to other ingredients is lower than what is typical for a frittata. The addition of flour and baking soda makes kuku sabzi a bit more cake-like, resulting in a unique and absolutely herbaliscious!

CD of the Month

Our International Music CD for the Month selection is Duhovi by Faith & Branko. In 2009, Faith Elliott traveled to Serbia to find a Gypsy violinist to play for the circus band she led. In Serbia she met Serbian Romani violinist Branko Ristic. Despite not knowing each other's language, the two musicians bonded over the music they played. . .

Book of the Month

Our International Book of the Month selection is Karnali Blues by Buddhisagar, translated by Michael Hutt. Set in western Nepal, the novel tells the tale of a son who stuggles to seek approval from his father as his father's fortune and facilities begin to fade away. The original book is the most widely read novel in Nepal.
